2026 Comfort Lakes Association Annual Membership Drive
Happy New Year Comfort Lakes Community,
The Comfort Lakes Association (CLA) invites lakeshore owners, lakeshore access owners and friends who enjoy the Comfort Lakes area to become a 2026 annual member. We all appreciate this beautiful environment and special lifestyle it provides, and with these benefits comes a responsibility to protect it. Our goal is to significantly grow our membership beyond the current one-third of our lakeshore owners.
Our interest in the water quality and lake preservation is greater than ever due to the recent crisis involving invasive species, particularly Eurasian Milfoil, and the threat of Zebra Mussels and Starry Stonewart. As we work toward a healthy lake, there is power in numbers. We need your help: please join or renew your membership with the CLA for 2026.
Your dues and any additional donations will be used for the following ongoing projects:
· Invasive Species Management: Collaborate with the DNR, Comfort Lake Forest Lake Watershed District and Chisago County regarding invasive species, including Eurasian Milfoil, Zebra Mussels, Curly Leaf Pond, Starry Stonewart.
· Boat Launch Inspections: Support hired inspectors at the boat launch to check boats for invasive species upon entry and exit.
- Education: Educating Comfort Lake residents through informative speaker series, the annual spring meeting, written materials, or emails on pressing topics.
- Water Quality: Inspecting and maintaining awareness of water quality issues.
- Fish Stocking
- Financial Stability: Building a solid CLA fund balance to prepare for anticipated large expenses, such as treatment of invasive species.
The CLA is a 501©(3) non-profit organization. The annual membership dues of $100 are tax deductible. Additional donations are always welcome. The annual membership runs from January 1st to December 31, 2026. Please submit your membership payment by 5/1/26. Payment by check or cash can be mailed to:
